Operator 1

Production operators are responsible for operating their line safely and efficiently, ensuring production output and quality.

• Operate production equipment including roll forming lines, coil handling equipment, sheet crane, strapping equipment, press brake, shears, cut off saw, and other equipment as applicable.
• Ensure that all orders are processed and documented accurately and completely.
• Ensure line quality and production meet standards.
• Complete production paperwork as necessary.
• Operate the AMS system to process orders.
• Operate all equipment in a safe fashion.
• Perform general yard and plant maintenance, cleanup, general housekeeping, snow shoveling, and related landscaping duties when necessary.
• Maintain a safe work area on an ongoing basis.
• Operate one product line (Accessory 2 of 3 machines), including gauge and adjust, and cut back saw; understand and complete paperwork and banding procedures in packaging area.

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Employee must frequently lift or move 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts such as conveyors, rolls, and power industrial trucks (forklifts).
• Works around manufacturing equipment such as roll forming lines, automated packaging systems, wood saws, and forklift traffic.

Starting rate is $18.20 per hour.
