Specific Responsibilities to Include:
- Outbound and inbound inventory receiving, etc,
- Safely and timely prepare and load products for transport.
- Safely and timely stage products for loading.
- Safely and timely load products onto truck, and/or railcar.
- Responsible for quality control - damaged products.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
- Operate sit down forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Perform daily forklift safety checks, preventive maintenance and report any issues.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors.
- Keep clean and maintain work area.
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Facilitate the loading from railcars into tank trucks:
This involves ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of bulk liquid products from railcars to tank trucks. - Physical requirements:
The role involves lifting, carrying, and working in various positions to perform vehicle inspections and load/unload cargo. This includes hoses, dunnage, etc. - Applicant must be able to work at heights above 4 ft and don the appropriate fall protection PPE.
- Applicants must be able to be certified to wear a respirator and meet all requirements of the respiratory program.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Read, write, and understand English
- Basic math skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Capable to learn how to operate and maintain railcar/trans loading equipment (e.g., Hoses, portable conveyors, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium sized equipment, etc.)
- Ability and willingness to travel to other transload terminals to assist when necessary
- Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely
- Willing to receive general safety training
- Ability to work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps)
- Willing to work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials
- Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds
- In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift)
