Our client is a manufacturer of specialty engineering materials used in multiple different industries. They are currently seeking an Operations Manager for their plant in Cleveland OH.
Operations Manager/Chemical Engineer/Engineering/Manufacturing/Chemicals/Mechanical Engineer/Operations/Operations Engineer/Process Engineer/Chemical Process Engineer/Chemical Manufacturing/Resin Manufacturing/PSM/Process Safety Management ResponsibilitiesAs an Operations Manager job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plan, organize & direct the Manufacturing department
- Work with team leaders to develop/implement plans to efficiently use materials, labor & equipment to meet production targets
- Organize/facilitate as needed production shutdown/start-up for maintenance purposes
- Achieve project or dept. objectives within agreed time, cost, & quality parameters
- Identify/resolve safety concerns or issues, including accident/incident reporting, investigation & resolution
- Set goals and expectations to operation personnel
- Train, develop, and grow the Operation Dept into a World Class operation
- B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred with experience in the chemical industry
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience. Ideally 7-10 years of manufacturing experience with 3 years of direct management/leadership
- Firm understanding of KPI’s and delivering results
- Experience in developing and planning forecast and execute operating budgets
- Results driven leader
- Strategic thinker, planner, able to drive continuous improvement and achieve results
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, motivational, and communication skills which can be demonstrated in an everyday work environment
- Possess high professional ethics, dependability, good judgment and ability to take decisive action
- Proficiency in use of personal computers including MS Outlook, Excel (pivot tables, formula, conditional formatting etc), & Word
- Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience would be ideal
Candidates must be either a US citizen or US green card holder only
Salary Range:
Up to $150,000/year + 15% yearly target bonus potential
