We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a high-tech Neuroscience Center unit.
Responsibilities Include- Conducting detailed neurological assessments and managing patients with conditions such as strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and seizure disorders.
- Monitoring intracranial pressure (ICP), titrating medications, and managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, body temperature, and CRRT.
- Providing telemetry monitoring and ensuring comprehensive neurological patient care, including NIHSS stroke certification.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including LPNs, PCNAs, providers, respiratory therapy, social work, speech therapy, PT, OT, and dietary staff.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Professional certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program.
Key qualities: Critical thinking, time management, delegation skills, and the ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. The unit has received awards such as the Daisy Award nominations and Beacon Award, exemplifying a commitment to excellence in stroke and neurological care.
