Crew Chief, Aircraft Maintenance (Onsite).

The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for planning, managing and overseeing all maintenance, repair, modification, inspection and record‑keeping activities for RTFlight aircraft to assure high availability and airworthiness.

Position requires authorized work in the U.S.; no immigration sponsorship is provided.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, supporting RTFlight missions and handling departure and arrival activities.
  • Plan, implement and maintain effective procedures, policies and systems for scheduling and maintenance.
  • Ensure accurate, current and complete documentation, including records, inspection programs and maintenance manuals.
  • Adhere to RTFlight standards and cost‑control requirements, performing maintenance in accordance with schedules and commitments.
  • Oversee off‑site major repair and overhaul projects, ensuring compliance with RTFlight standards and FAA regulations.
  • Perform on‑site inspection, maintenance, repair, modification and testing of RTFlight aircraft and component equipment, including electronic navigation devices, hydraulic systems and gas turbine engines.
  • Maintain expertise on all RTFlight aircraft and focus on one airframe type for additional duties and training.
  • Handle inspection packages, due lists, logbook entries, audits and research.
  • Establish priorities and coordinate with RTFlight supporting departments or contractors to keep aircraft airworthy and facilities properly maintained, including passenger accommodations and hangar housekeeping.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of tools, parts, components and consumables necessary for servicing and maintenance of assigned aircraft.
  • Manage aircraft maintenance costs, integrating operating and capital budgets; support financial planning for maintenance and facilities operations.
  • Prepare estimates of labor and material costs for future work, including downtime needs, and provide scheduling input with Maintenance Managers.
  • Manage general facilities maintenance, housekeeping and oversight of RTX Environmental Health and Safety policies within RTFlight leased or owned properties.
  • Order parts, components, tools, consumables and supplies; validate account assignments and pre‑approve vendor billings.
  • Manage spares inventory for aircraft, including ordering, documentation completion and receiving inspections.
  • Ensure all activities comply with RTFlight Quality Management System, ISBAO procedures and Raytheon Technologies and government guidelines.
  • Travel worldwide without restriction, up to 10% of time.
Qualifications
  • University degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years; or, in lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid A&P Certificate.
  • Knowledge of Flight Operations Manual, CFRs and aircraft maintenance standards.

Application and Compensation

Salary range: USD 86,800 – 165,200. RTX considers experience, education, role function, and other factors when offering compensation. The position is U.S.

-based; the pay structure and benefits apply to U.S. territories as well.
