, Connecticut is a manufacturing facility specializing in fiber optic coils for Interferometric Fiber-Optic Gyroscopes.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to support the production of precision fiber-optic coils used in inertial navigation systems in the defense and aerospace industries. In this role, you will operate specialized winding equipment, handle optical-fiber, and ensure all products meet specification. This position is ideal for candidates with strong fine-motor skills, basic mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Apply epoxy materials according to process specifications.
• Complete post-winding operations such as curing, tooling removal, and coil wrapping.
• Collaborate with engineering on process improvements, yield improvements, and troubleshooting winding issues.
• Follow all cleanroom protocols, and safety procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Fine motor skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistent, high-quality work.
• Basic computer skills.

• Experience working with fiber-optic components, optical assemblies, or photonics manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9001/AS9100 or similar aerospace/defense quality frameworks.
• Comfort with computer-based manufacturing systems and data entry.
• Consistency in repetitive, high-precision tasks.
