Description

The Municipal Project Manager is responsible for client relationship development , client relationship management, and project management from conception to completion .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees assigned projects to en sure that the project meets the scope, schedule, and budget
  • Develop s the scope of work, schedule and fee for each of their project s in coordination with Production Leaders
  • Develop s a Project Work Plan for d istribution to the project team
  • Develop s a thorough understanding of the client’s expectations and objectives for the project
  • Participate s in preparing qualification/proposal submittals and presentations to clients
  • Monitors assigned projects using financial p roject management system
  • Participate s in securing funding with State an d Federal agencies, if required
  • Appl ies engineering experience and expertise to assist design team in developing engineering solutions to meet the client’s expectation for the p roject requirements
  • Answer s questions and give s daily guidance to project team
  • Monitor s and ensure s prompt deliver y and payment of client invoices by adhering to company’s AR collection poli cies and procedures
  • Coordinates with leadership to review scope, schedule, fee, project profitability, bi llings, collections and project- specific client /quali ty issues on each project
  • Ensure s project team adherence to all company standards and policies related to project execution and management
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to clients
  • Works in collaboration with Business D evelopment to obtain new clients and work
  • Travel s for pr oject coordination, as required
  • Ot her duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the s tate where the office is located or ability to obta in registration within six months
  • 5 + years of experience in the civil engineering field
  • Ability to market and sell engineering services
  • Understanding of engineering contracts
  • Ability to prepare engineering records and to write concise technical reports
  • Ability to supervise and le ad project teams to successfully execute engineering projects
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines
  • Ability to understand, in general, other en gineering discipline principles
  • Ability to read and interpret appropriate design, regulatory, funding and administrative codes
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
