We are seeking an MCE Engine Services, OCE Accounting Lead in a hybrid role based in East Hartford, Connecticut. The position involves managing long‑term aftermarket contracts for legacy Pratt & Whitney engines and partnering with finance and customer‑facing teams.
Hybrid role:
Employees will work onsite and offsite regularly.
Salary range: $107,500–$204,500 USD.
Responsibilities- Manage accounting activities for our MCE legacy program long‑term aftermarket contracts, including partner reporting packages, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supplemental reporting.
- Collaborate with MCE aftermarket finance and customer‑facing teams to ensure accounting accuracy and completeness for this portfolio of contracts.
- Prepare the monthly reconciliation of sales and cost activity from the subledger to the general ledger.
- Track and report on net contract asset and liability activity by contract and ESN.
- Assist management with the review of current and newly executed long‑term aftermarket contracts and assess overall accounting conclusions.
- Support management and the CE Restructuring team with transactions involving contract amendments and modifications.
- Reconcile inventory held in support of long‑term aftermarket contracts with major airline customers.
- Support management on ad‑hoc requests and special projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance; or an advanced degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of experience.
- Experience with internal controls and process improvement.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on cross‑functional teams.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to access to restricted systems/tools.
- Experience with One Stream.
- Experience with Black Line (Account Reconciliation Management System).
- Experience with tools specific to Engine Services (SPIDRS, SPANAS, Deferred Revenue database, and MMAPs).
- Previous professional experience in the aerospace industry.
- Experience with SAP and Business Warehouse.
- Advanced degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
