Accounting Consultant
Greater Hartford Area | Fully Onsite
Salary: $95,000 – $120,000
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant to support their team during a critical period of business integration and growth. This highly visible, hands‑on role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, maintain continuity across accounting operations, and make an immediate impact on the organization.

- Take ownership of critical accounting functions, including month‑end close and financial reporting.
- Help strengthen processes, improve documentation, and support a seamless leadership transition.
- Manage the month‑end close process, including account reconciliations, cash management, and preparation of accurate financial statements.
- Document accounting procedures and facilitate knowledge transfer to support long‑term operational success.
- Provide financial reporting and support for management, sales, and customer service teams.
- Reconcile inventory and sales activity across multiple entities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain strong accounting practices with a focus on process improvement, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted resource for financial analysis and ad hoc reporting requests.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience within manufacturing, distribution, or a similar operational environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs (or equivalent functions).
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, DDI, Quick Books, or comparable platforms.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a collaborative onsite environment.
