The Connecticut River Academy (http://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) is a Sustainability Studies/Early College magnet school operated by Goodwin University on its river campus in East Hartford serving students in grades 6 through 12. We are anticipating an opening for a (1) full time High School Chemistry and Physics Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators for the  school year. An ideal candidate is someone who has an ability to motivate students from diverse backgrounds and interests.

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong desire to work with students from urban and suburban settings, and possess an understanding of and appreciation for multicultural education. Desirable Experience and Training

* Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred, and certification in appropriate area of instruction.

* Work experience in meeting the needs of racially, ethnically, socioeconomically and linguistically diverse groups of youth is desirable.
