Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail store. In this student-focused role, you'll teach beginner to intermediate band, orchestra, or popular music students, create lesson plans, and track progress. You'll collaborate with store staff to support rentals, repairs, and accessories that enhance learning. The ideal candidate has strong performance or teaching experience, solid music theory knowledge, and the ability to work with students of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to beginner and intermediate students
• Develop and adjust lesson plans based on student goals and progress
• Assess student performance and provide clear feedback to students and parents
• Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, repairs, and accessory needs
• Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and student progress records
• Prepare students for recitals, performances, and school music activities
• Promote Music & Arts programs and offerings to students and families
• Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
• Incorporate music theory, technique, and musicianship into lessons
• Participate in occasional store events and community outreach
