Supplier Quality Engineer – Raw Materials (Structural Castings) – Hybrid (U.S. Citizen Only)
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in our Raw Materials Supplier Quality Team. The role supports structural castings and works closely with the Supply Chain Quality Engineering Group, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams to improve quality and productivity.
What You Will Do- Partner with suppliers to ensure compliance with P&W quality requirements.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers' quality and operations teams, as well as PW Engineering, Procurement, and other stakeholders.
- Manage the Supplier Vendor Corrective Action Board (VCAB).
- Analyze data using PW QLIK dashboards and SAP to identify trends and drive process and design improvements.
- Coordinate with Supplier Quality Assurance Representatives (SQAR) and NPI focal points, and conduct domestic and international supplier visits.
- Support Investigation Managers in Quality Clinic initiatives and lead continuous improvement efforts on escapes.
- Hold suppliers accountable for root‑cause and corrective action, implementing sustainable corrective/ preventive actions.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Procurement to execute proactive supply‑base improvement plans that enhance the quality signature and customer confidence.
- BS degree in engineering, quality, industrial, or manufacturing OR an advanced degree in a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (or 3 years with an advanced degree).
- Proficiency in RCCA tools such as 8D, 5‑Whys, PFMEA, PPAP, and Gage R&R.
- Experience with castings and manufacturing/quality environments.
- Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Expertise in quality tools (8D, RCCA, PFMEA, GD&T, PPAP).
- Strong ability to resolve issues quickly and collaborate cross‑functionally.
Hybrid role; employees will work primarily onsite at the company facility. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and meet the company’s security clearance requirements.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: 86,800
USD – 165,200
USD, based on experience, role, and location. Incentive compensation and annual programs may apply based on level and role.
