What You Will Do- Senior engineer in Advanced Concepts reporting to the Manager of Advanced Concepts.
- Support the Advanced Concepts group in discovery, optimization, and analysis of new commercial and military engine concepts.
- Invent, size, optimize and analyze thermal management systems to support novel thermodynamic cycles and engine concepts.
- Work across commercial and military organizations to make novel discoveries addressing 21st-century challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience; or a Masters degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience; or a Ph.D. in a relevant field
- Fundamental knowledge of heat transfer; heat exchanger sizing and technology; and thermal management systems
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Advanced degree (Engineering Masters or Ph.D.)
- Familiarity with commercial and/or military engine businesses
- Aero engine durability experience and knowledge of aero engine durability technologies
- Fundamental knowledge of optimization techniques and multi-disciplinary design optimization (MDO)
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. RTX considers multiple factors when extending an offer, including role, responsibilities, experience, location, education, and key skills.
