Technical Customer Support Engineer – Pratt & Whitney. This role supports the PW4000/2000 engine family by working with airline customers and maintenance shops worldwide.
What You’ll Do:- Collaborate globally with airline customers and MRO shops to support PW4000/2000-powered aircraft, focusing on fan, compressors, mechanical systems and nacelle.
- Lead engine event investigations to identify root causes, resolve operational challenges and provide expert guidance on troubleshooting, service bulletin retrofits and engine manual interpretation.
- Initiate and oversee the creation of engineering authorizations, special instructions and other maintenance documents to support airline customers.
- Update aircraft maintenance manuals, engine manuals and maintenance planning guides.
- Serve as a technical liaison to Pratt & Whitney’s Product Safety, Certification & Validation team and to airframe teams for modifications, inspections and maintenance of high‑performance engines.
- Triage urgent aircraft‑on‑ground requests to keep fleets flying; occasional weekend or off‑hours support may be required.
- Assist airline engineers, maintenance control technicians and field service representatives in resolving complex on‑site technical challenges.
- Identify recurring issues and propose innovative solutions to improve support processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 8+ years of engineering experience, or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
- Airline field support experience.
- Engine or aircraft maintenance experience.
- Travel the world at annual conferences and industry events.
- Build relationships with global airline customers and maintenance partners.
- Hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge aerospace technology.
