Project Engineer
Planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects to ensure technical, schedule, and cost objectives are met. Work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and program leadership to successfully deliver results that support current programs and future engine development.
Responsibilities- Support commercial and/or military aircraft engine programs.
- Plan, execute, and track engineering project activities, including cost, schedule, risk, and deliverables across assigned programs and hardware.
- Coordinate project tasks across multiple functional teams to ensure alignment with program objectives and milestones.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and budgets using standard project management tools.
- Identify project risks and issues, propose mitigation plans, and drive resolution to completion.
- Prepare and present technical and program status updates to engineering leadership and program stakeholders.
- Coordinate hardware procurement, technical evaluations, and supplier interactions as the engineering focal point.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering execution, cost reduction, and schedule optimization.
- Be responsible at any moment for demonstrating/reporting QN status, ECDs, burndown rates, TATs, and milestone status.
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- 3-8 years of engineering or project engineering experience.
- Aerospace experience is preferred.
- Experience with aerospace engine systems, hardware development, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
- U.S. citizenship required due to export control and security requirements.
- Strong project management, communication, and coordination skills.
- Be highly motivated.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, SAP, or Primavera is preferred.
