This role is primarily responsible for Control Account Management (CAM), encompassing the planning, monitoring, and execution oversight of cost, schedule, and technical performance. The position includes ownership of Customer Support Engineering (CSE) work within F135 sustainment contracts as part of the Military Customer Support and Services (MCSS) organization. It also carries Level 3 Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) ownership, providing increased authority and decision-making responsibility across assigned work scopes.
Success in this role requires strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively represent MCSS interests, prepare and deliver customer-facing products, and maintain full compliance with monthly reporting requirements. The position works in close partnership with cross-functional stakeholders, including the Program Management Office (PMO), Earned Value (EVAR), ME Finance (PFS), the Business Acquisition Center of Excellence (BACE), Pricing, and Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS).
What You Will Do:
- Serve as Control Account Manager (CAM) and Level 3 Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) owner, executing monthly responsibilities in accordance with Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements.
- Act as the responsible work package owner (and accountable party) for MCSS-related scopes within F135 annualized sustainment contracts (ASC), non-annualized (LOT) contracts, and Engineering Assistance to Production (EAP)
- Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) in partnership with the BACE team and support associated proposal development activities.
- Participate in monthly financial reviews, including Estimate-At-Completion (EAC) updates and performance discussions.
- Proactively monitor cost and schedule performance, identify variances or emerging trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Close coordination with senior MCSS business management to identify gaps in organizational resource planning, potential risks and opportunities for direct-charge efficiency, and identification of critical funding junctures to support long-range business planning.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- 3+ years in either aerospace or a comparable industry working in project management (acquisition or execution).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- An advanced degree (MBA or MS).
- Prior experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) or equivalent experience with direct ownership and accountability for defined work scopes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of program management principles and proficiency with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
- Experience using SAP, WebEVM, and an industry-standard scheduling tool (e.g., Primavera).
- Proven capability in key competencies, including Customer Focus, Forward Thinking, and sound Business Judgment.
- Strong teamwork orientation with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
