Chemical Process Engineer/Chemist
We're seeking a Chemical Process Engineer/Chemist to support the development, improvement, and troubleshooting of chemical processes used on aerospace alloys. This role involves hands-on laboratory work across the full product lifecycle, including surface treatment and corrosion-resistant coating applications.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and optimize processes including priming, painting, electroplating, cleaning, etching, stripping, anodizing, and corrosion-resistant coatings
- Conduct laboratory experiments, prepare chemical solutions, and process parts
- Create test plans, document results, and communicate findings to engineering teams
- Support troubleshooting and continuous process improvement initiatives
- Apply knowledge of alloy surface engineering and aerospace materials
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- 4+ years of laboratory experience preferred
- Experience with chemical processing and surface treatment methods
- Strong documentation, testing, and communication skills
- Ability to work hands-on in a laboratory environment
