What You Will Do:
- Execute defined projects focused on high temperature alloy development, characterization, and production implementation enabling new capabilities on current and future jet engines
- Provide engineering judgement and expertise to characterize, quantify, and understand material capabilities of legacy and novel alloys
- Projects will span new/repair technology development, engine safety, production support, and cost reduction amongst other business driven needs
- Collaborate with internal and external partners on multi-disciplinary teams to identify opportunities and create solutions to support business needs
- Work autonomously with limited oversight on projects that are difficult and complex
- Serve customers across the enterprise (supply chain, engine programs, advanced technology) to plan, execute, and report on technical research and development projects
- Communicate effectively across many levels of the organization to both internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications You Must Have:
- B.S. degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or Chemistry
- Minimum of 5 years relevant engineering experience or 3 years with an advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.)
- Must be a US Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.
-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
