Position: Casting Product Engineering Manager (Onsite)

Product Engineering Manager – Rapid Prototype Casting Lab

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the Product Engineering team in the Rapid Prototype Casting Lab (RPCL) to develop and manufacture advanced castings for turbine engines. These advanced castings enable materials that increase the temperature capability of jet engine components, delivering engines that are more fuel efficient, lighter and more durable for commercial and military applications.

Responsibilities
  • Empower and lead the RPCL Product Engineering team in casting development activities, including part quality requirements, casting mold & tooling design, work instructions, and related tasks.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities and enforce standardized engineering practices, processes, tools and methods across all products.
  • Develop the product engineering team in critical skill sets for group success.
  • Manage resources and assignments across the team.
  • Develop technical and project plans for new castings to meet all casting quality requirements.
  • Support the RPCL Operations team as needed to meet program requirements.
  • Travel less than 10%
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, manufacturing or a technically related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience as a Product Engineer for aerospace castings.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a supervisor in Engineering or Operations Engineering.
  • Strong critical thinking, business discernment, innovation, collaboration, communication, presentation and analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong customer focus, attention to detail, and problem solving ability.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.
  • Background with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) process.
  • High self‑directedness, strong drive for results, team‑building and excellent organizational and communication skills.
