What You Will DoSenior Principal Engineer – Military Engines Airworthiness Office. Primary advocate for airworthiness execution on multiple programs, overseeing US Government customer deliverables and compliance.
- Lead IPT, CIPT and SIPT planning for Airworthiness, recommend Certification Bases, and ensure alignment between stakeholders.
- Ensure timely submission of Airworthiness deliverables and clear communication of risk and mitigations.
- Advocate for Airworthiness compliance when competing program priorities arise.
- Coordinate regularly with US Government customers.
- Act as primary airworthiness advisor for CIPTs/IPTs to achieve Military Flight Release or Military Type Certificate for new programs, Component Improvement Programs, and engineering changes.
- Draft Airworthiness Plan and Certification Basis in conjunction with CIPTs per customer direction.
- Negotiate resolution of internal conflict regarding airworthiness plans, certification basis, compliance, and risk.
- Represent Airworthiness function in IPT/CIPT/SIPT meetings.
- Participate in implementation of airworthiness elements of model-based engineering systems.
- Develop and administer Airworthiness processes and standard work tools.
- Guide and mentor junior members of the Airworthiness Office and IPT/CIPT members in program‑specific duties.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent STEM degree.
- 10+ years of experience in military airworthiness and/or civil certification and/or engineering & requirements management; or advanced degree with 7+ years of such experience.
- U.S. citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret) required.
- Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering.
- Experience with gas turbine engine subsystems and familiarity with their architecture, performance, validation, and analysis.
- Familiarity with MIL‑HDBK‑516, related US government/industry publications, and execution of core airworthiness deliverables.
- Experience interfacing with U.S. Government customers on challenging program deliverables and risk negotiation.
- Strong communication, leadership, influence, and coordination across teams in strategic projects.
- Experience executing the Agile project management concept.

Salary range: $132,400 – $251,600 USD. The salary range is an estimate. Additional incentives may be offered based on level, business unit, and collective‑bargaining agreement.
