Position: Senior Product Definition Checker (Onsite)

Location: US-CT-EAST HARTFORD-L ~ 400 Main St ~ BLDG L

Position Title: Senior Product Definition Checker

Position Role Type: Onsite

Security Clearance Requirement: U.S. citizenship is required and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Confidential clearance is mandatory.

What You Will Do
  • Review and validate 3D models, engineering drawings, and product definition packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Create and maintain parametric 3D models, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation using Siemens NX.
  • Apply and interpret ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure manufacturability and design intent.
  • Prepare engineering release packages, change documentation, and configuration updates using Teamcenter.
  • Partner with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to resolve product definition issues and support successful product releases.
  • Mentor junior Product Definition professionals and promote best practices in quality, standard work, and continuous improvement.
  • Travel Requirement: 10% (Domestic).
What You Will Learn
  • Advanced expertise in aerospace Product Definition standards, GD&T, Model-Based Definition (MBD), and engineering documentation practices.
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter throughout the product lifecycle.
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft engine systems, including mechanical externals, fuel, lubrication, air systems, bearing compartments, and gear drive components.
  • Experience solving complex design and manufacturing challenges with cross‑functional teams.
  • Technical leadership through mentoring, continuous improvement initiatives, and contributions to engineering excellence.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or an associate degree in Drafting/Design or a related field with 7 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes Product Definition, mechanical drafting, engineering documentation, ASME Y14.5 GD&T, and mechanical drawing interpretation.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Advanced proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and engineering change management.
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience supporting mechanical systems or engine hardware.
  • Knowledge of fuel, lubrication, air systems, bearing compartments, gear drive systems, or engine externals.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or technical coaching experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
