Overview
RTX is an aerospace and defense company offering opportunities across three market-leading businesses. This role supports the deployment of Model Based Manufacturing and Inspection (MB-DMI) across manufacturing sites and contributes to the transition to a Model Based Enterprise by implementing digital manufacturing technologies and standardized processes.
Responsibilities- Partner with manufacturing sites and deployment teams to assess equipment readiness for Model Based Enterprise implementation.
- Collaborate with site SMEs to develop and implement Model Based Manufacturing and Inspection processes and best practices.
- Coordinate with capability owners to prioritize solution development and support deployment schedules.
- Provide customer feedback to improve the quality of Model Based Definition technical data packages.
- Apply CORE continuous improvement tools to optimize business processes.
- Develop standardized deployment procedures and site readiness playbooks.
- Support deployment readiness planning and business alignment through deployment passports.
- Travel approximately 10–20%.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with Teamcenter, NX, CAM, and CMM programming.
- Familiarity with MES systems (such as Solumina) and ERP systems (SAP).
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5-1994 and ASME Y14.5-2018 GD&T standards.
- Understanding of Model Based Manufacturing within a production environment.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of related experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Digital Technologies, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 7+ years in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Engineering Design, Supply Chain, Quality, Project Management, or related field.
- Experience with programming, automation, NC programming, or Computer-Aided Inspection (CAI).
- 7+ years using CAD, CAM, CAI, or similar engineering software.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, including Teamcenter.
- Experience creating CAD models, Bills of Material, and managing product lifecycle data.
- NC programming experience.
- Knowledge of complex manufacturing processes, routings, and bills of process.
- Experience managing manufacturing deviations and process changes.
- Strong organizational and priority management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, JIRA, Smartsheet, and similar productivity tools.

This position is onsite/hybrid. Employees will work primarily onsite where applicable. Candidates may be asked to attend select interview steps in-person at a location, regardless of role designation. Commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s responsibility.
Compensation and Equal OpportunityThe salary range for this role is 107,500 USD – 204,500 USD.
