Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Military Customer Support & Services (MCSS) seeks a motivated Customer Support Engineer (CSE) for the F135 engine program. The CSE will be responsible for Source Data in support of F135 Joint Technical Data (JTD) engine manual creation and updates, and will collaborate closely with engineering teams on limits development, configuration updates, and maintenance strategies for both Unit and Depot levels.
WhatYou Will Do
- Develop and maintain Source Data for the F135 JTD engine manual.
- Work with engineering teams on limits development, expansion activities, and configuration updates to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Incorporate improvements driven by customer and internal sustainment feedback into the JTD.
- Review technical data inquiries and provide timely answers to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide timely technical data updates to support maintenance and operations on the F135 engine.
- Create Source Data and JTD markups to integrate engineering requirements.
- Review limits development documents from a sustainment perspective and offer feedback.
- Evaluate JTD change requests based on technical expertise and sustainment considerations.
- Author source data, addressing and resolving customer comments.
- Support depot and unit level maintenance strategies and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with internal engineering groups, customers, vendors, and CSEs at Depot & Unit sites to resolve technical issues and ensure optimal instruction for the JTD.
- F135 sustainment processes and customer interactions.
- Incorporation of engineering requirements into maintenance work instructions (engine manual).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; technical degree preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience or an advanced degree.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required due to government contracts.
- Experience with F135 engine build, manufacturing, or design.
- Minimum 2 years of military engine knowledge and experience.
- Experience in limits development and/or configuration management and engineering changes.
- Experience using technical data, drawings, and requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
