Role OverviewThis position is part of the Mechanical Systems, Externals & Nacelles (MSEN) engineering organization, responsible for the design, development, integration, and certification of gas turbine engine systems supporting commercial engine programs. The Project Engineer will lead cross‑functional engineering activities supporting the GTF and V2500/C390 programs, collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and airframers to drive project execution and deliver solutions that meet program objectives for cost, schedule, quality, and performance.
Responsibilities- Coordinate engineering activities and technical task execution with suppliers, customers, airframers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure successful program delivery.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and execution plans to achieve program milestones and on‑time task completion.
- Communicate project status, key performance metrics, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership.
- Lead Integrated Product Team meetings to drive alignment, resolve issues, and support timely decision‑making.
- Coordinate field support activities, including customer support documentation and leak testing with MRO facilities to ensure product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Travel: 15% domestic and international.
- Managing engineering projects from planning through execution.
- Working directly with customers, suppliers, MRO facilities, and airframers to resolve technical issues.
- Managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and Agile workflows while presenting program status.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, and at least 2 years of relevant engineering experience; an advanced degree is acceptable.
- Familiarity with Pratt & Whitney’s Leadership Operating Model or a comparable project execution framework.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or demonstrated project management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
