Customer Support Engineer (CSE)
Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Military Customer Support & Services (MCSS) is seeking a highly motivated Customer Support Engineer (CSE) for the F135 engine program, responsible for Source Data in support of F135 Joint Technical Data (JTD) engine manual creation and updates. The CSE will work closely with the engineering teams on Limits Development & Expansion activities and configuration updates (engineering changes) in support of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for the F135 engine, for both Unit and Depot Maintenance levels.
The CSE will also support incorporation of process improvement driven updates, based on customer feedback and sustainment knowledge, to continually improve the JTD.
Responsibilities:
- Answer technical data inquiries and provide timely technical data updates to support maintenance and operations on the F135 engine.
- Drive customer satisfaction by influencing the JTD through process improvements and incorporation of engineering requirements.
- Review of limits development documents from a sustainment perspective, providing feedback and customer support engineering approval
- Influence effective solutions for implementation plans for new configurations.
- Review Joint Technical Data change requests, evaluating the request based on technical expertise and sustainment process knowledge
- Perform Source Data authoring functions including creation of source data, quality reviews, workflow resolutions, task assignments, and resolution of customer comments
- Support depot and unit level scheduled and unscheduled maintenance strategies and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with internal engineering groups, customers, vendors, and CSEs located at Depot & Unit sites to resolve technical issues and ensure optimal instruction for JTD.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; technical degree preferred
- 5+ years related experience or 3+ years related experience with an advanced degree
- 10% Travel
Qualifications We Prefer:
- F135 engine build, manufacturing or design experience
- 2+ years of experience of military engine knowledge and experience
- Knowledge or expertise in limits development and/or configuration management and engineering changes
- Experience using technical data, drawings and requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
