Position: Analyst: F135 Hardware Customer Support Engineer (Onsite)

Hardware Customer Support Engineer (Cse)

The Hardware Customer Support Engineer (CSE) plays a key role in providing technical and sustainment support for engine hardware by interfacing with the customer, program office, Field Service Engineer/Representative, and engineering organization in support of our warfighter.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Responds to Technical Field Questions (Action Requests)
  • Support Engineering Investigations (Deficiency Reports)
  • Technical Maintenance Manual Data Creation/Updates/Interpretation
  • Author technical presentations and Field Information Notices as required
  • Maintenance Awareness Briefings
  • Engineering Changes /Design Reviews for Sustainment Impacts
  • Field Implementation / Retrofit Planning / Service Test Letters
  • Support Technical Conferences as needed
  • Production Quality Notification (QN) and Escape (6015) support
  • Ability to travel up to 10% mostly to our F135 Field Sites

What You Will Learn:

  • How to support the F135 propulsion system for U.S. and international military customers
  • Field inquiry response, deficiency reporting, and hands-on sustainment problem-solving
  • Development and interpretation of technical maintenance data for advanced gas turbine engines
  • Clear technical communication through briefings, notices, and customer updates
  • How engineering changes, retrofits, and quality processes impact fielded hardware
  • Cross-functional collaboration with the F-35 JPO, Field Service Engineers, Engineering, and Logistics teams

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Existing technical knowledge of gas turbine operation
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering or related

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Onsite:
Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.

-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
