Job Description

The Engineering Technician role supports Engineers in HSE durability analytics, focusing on maintaining the integrity of engine parts. The position involves a blend of technical work, project management, and engineering responsibilities.

Responsibilities

+ Become a Technical Expert on Inspection Practices, including Photography with Handheld Devices, Digital Annotation, Magneto scope Inspection, and Airflow Bench Operation.

+ Follow Proper Standard Work by selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and molds, setting up benches correctly, maintaining awareness of expected values, and documenting values accurately in formatted templates.

+ Manage Special Projects not covered within the O/S SOW.

+ Order supplies for Crib & D-Bldg Team members.

+ Oversee the O/S Team, providing Technical Expertise, monitoring workflow prioritization, and spot-checking deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards.

+ Foster good communication between HSE, MPE, CPR, and Outsource Vendors, utilizing MS Outlook/Teams and interacting with the CPR database.

+ Submit work requests to MPE.

+ Update and maintain standard work for inspection practices and drive continuous improvement.

+ Troubleshoot issues with inspection bench equipment.

Essential Skills

+ Testing validation

+ Airflow and mechanical aptitude

+ Proficiency in Excel for data entry

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills

+ 1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate Degree preferred from a Technical College

+ SAP knowledge is a plus

+ Strong project management soft skills

Work Environment

The team works full-time onsite at the East Hartford campus, a dynamic setting with constantly changing priorities. The work is rewarding, addressing flight safety issues and advancing aerospace technology. There is potential for permanent placement, offering excellent benefits. The role also includes 5 days of PTO per year, 6 paid holidays, and overtime pay at 1.5X for hours over 40 per week.

This is a Contract position based out of East Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $41.00/hr.
