What You Will DoPratt and Whitney Hot Section Engineering (HSE) is looking for a highly motivated, goal oriented and detail focused engineer to join its team. This position requires demonstrated leadership, excellent communication skills, and a command of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering foundational knowledge.
We are looking for a uniquely talented engineering leader to champion our key transformation shifts and identify new ways to improve project task execution for the F135 Program.
- Leading Project Tasks for an Integrated Product Team (IPT) consisting of a cross functional group of project, design, structures, and aerodynamic team members.
- The Project Engineer will need to communicate the status of technical issues, and budgets to Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) leaders, HSE leadership, internal program offices and external customers.
- They may also need to work closely with purchasing, suppliers, customer support and the sustainment organizations to support engine deliveries and respond to field challenges as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 2 years of relevant engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree
- BS Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- Advanced proficiency and knowledge of Project Planning, schedules and prior EVMS/CAM (Earned Value Management System / Control Account Management) experience
- Familiarity with Pratt & Whitney Project tools and procedures.
- Familiarity with Gas Turbine hardware
- Demonstrated leadership in engineering continuous improvement and strong communication, interpersonal, time management with organizational skills.
- An active security clearance is not required but ability to apply for one, after day start would be desired.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
