What You Will Do
- Structural design and analysis of combustors, diffusers, turbines, exhaust components, and more.
- Conduct design iterations for structural robustness in new designs and re-designs
- Conduct root cause analysis in support of engine/hardware investigations
- Create Technical Substantiation Packages for non-conforming hardware analysis.
- Make technical recommendations to Integrated Product Team (IPT) in order to balance durability, weight, cost, and more.
What You Will Learn
- You will learn the processes of development, validation, and operational support of the jet engine hot section.
- You will work on integrated product teams (IPT's) with fellow engineers on the design, analysis, and validation of engine components.
- This position is a part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). EDP participants will complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Master's Degree, or Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering obtained by start date.
- Experience with at least one of the following:
Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials - Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience
- Experience with finite element analysis
- Experience with fatigue analysis
- Experience with technical communication

- Relocation Eligibility
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
