What You Will Do- The Supplier Quality and Process Approval (SQ&PA) organization is looking to add a Calibration Engineer to our team.
- This position assures that all Measurement & Test Equipment (M&TE) meet the requirements as specified in PWA-Material Control Lab manual and other Aerospace requirements.
- It will support Quality, Production, and Non-Production initiatives utilizing CORE tools.
- Duties include servicing & calibrating M&TE, Capability & Suitability testing of M&TE, non-conformance investigations.
- Work activity is 80% bench lab work and 20% desk work.
- The Supplier Quality and Process Approval (SQ&PA) calibration team is responsible for Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) calibration for Pratt & Whitney production gages.
- Timely and accurate calibrations for Dimensional or Electrical Discipline.
- Perform task prioritizations.
- Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where some ingenuity and judgment are required.
- Interacts with other functional groups (engineering, manufacturing, management) on routine tech.
- Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Education/experience in mathematics/statistics is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry standards ISO
17025. - General Competence pertaining to Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
- ANSI Z540 Requirements for the Calibration of Measuring and Test Equipment.
- Ability to use Microsoft word, excel, project, and power point.
- Willingness to cross train in other metrology areas to support periodic requirements.
- Understanding of Metrology.
- Perform technical tasks based on written or verbal instructions.
- Plan and perform calibrations within the specified turn time.
- Troubleshoot items not meeting requirements.
- Work within SAP and specified calibration systems to update information on M&TE.
- Implement and support CORE and the Raytheon CORE culture.
- Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements and continuously strive to improve safety.
- Continue expanding knowledge of Calibration.
- Willingness to learn Measurement Uncertainty and apply it.
- Lead customer expectations regarding calibration schedule.
- Knowledge of mechanical, physical, and electrical properties.
- Create standard work and operating procedures.
- Lead process improvement for current procedures and processes.
- The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
