Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced, proactive, and goal-oriented professional to lead Manufacturing Readiness for Turbine Airfoils Castings in the Operations organization.
The Product Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for execution of COPQ Projects, shop support and execution of MRL Assessments (PFMEA, Measurement System Analysis & Control Plans among others) to improve Supplier and Internal Shop Quality and delivery signature. Scope of this role will include both Pratt & Whitney internal shop and supply chain components.
As part of the Integrated Product Team, drive manufacturing risk identification, mitigation and improvements to quality performance using Problem Solving Methodologies (DMAIC, 8D, Fishbone Diagrams, PFMEA and Process Controls). Use statistical analysis tools to perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product. Participate in manufacturing reviews, transitions, new product introduction and manufacturing standard work improvements. Participate in Supplier assessments for technical and manufacturing capability and quality.
QualificationsYou Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5 years of prior relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Engineering, or Quality; OR Advanced Degree with prior relevant experience via Research, Internships or COOP’s.
- Experience working with suppliers and leading continuous improvement activities.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient.
- Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.
- Investment Casting experience preferred
- Manufacturing of Aerospace Turbine Airfoil Components preferred
- Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics using Minitab or other statistical software
- Six Sigma or Project Management Certification preferred

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
