- Execute Engineering Source Approval activities for conventional machining and special processes, including milling, turning, grinding, drilling, broaching, welding, brazing, and surface treatments
- Collaborate with supplier engineering teams and internal Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams to complete process approvals, evaluate changes, and resolve technical variations
- Manage approval schedules and resources to ensure timely, rigorous, and compliant qualifications of aerospace manufacturing processes
- Review and validate process operation sheets, process monitoring methods, NDE techniques, and destructive metallurgical testing results
- Analyze and document process performance
- Prepare technical reports
- Develop standard work to strengthen manufacturing consistency
- Technical Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality, engineering, manufacturing, materials, or aerospace functions
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Broad knowledge of materials and processes used in gas turbine engine manufacturing
- Experience with machining and special processes, particularly welding and brazing
- Familiarity with Pratt & Whitney design, manufacturing, and quality systems and ESA processes
Demonstrates expertise in Engineering Source Approval activities for aerospace manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on machining and special processes such as welding and brazing. Proficient in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and quality in process approvals.
