The OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join an Aerospace Project Team in support of a Supply Chain MRO (Maintenance and Repair Operation) Agile Project (Cloud Based Dashboard). Primary tasks include the following: experience with dashboards, performing requirements analysis, documenting processes, and monitor deliverables to ensure timely completion of projects. To succeed in this role, you should have experience in the Aerospace field, excel with leading diverse teams to author requirements and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
Also, you are an excellent communicator, deliver work on time, and you can work on a diverse international team.
This position is based in the Hartford, CT area and the role is hybrid per the corporate guidelines. Travel to the office is also expected based upon project needs and/or at the request of senior leadership.
Roles and Responsibilities- Lead requirement gathering across planning, repairs, sourcing, and supplier management stakeholders.
- Perform requirements analysis and requirements definition using the Agile Gherkin Method and/or authoring a functional specification.
- Map current state vs. Futures state MRO processes to ensure the dashboard supports Digital Transformation objectives.
- Create detailed functional specifications for dashboard behavior, drill downs, workflow steps, and user interactions.
- Support UAT planning, execution, defect triage, and readiness activities.
- Validate data sources, operational definitions, and exception thresholds with SMEs.
- Partner with engineering and data science teams to ensure business logic is accurately implemented.
- Tool set
Required:
JIRA/Confluence, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Office. Ability to author Gherkin based user stories as well as author Functional Specifications.
- A minimum of seven years of experience within the Aerospace and/or Supply Chain Vertical translating business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
- A minimum of seven years of experience doing facilitation for large cross functional projects including managing Takeaways, Agreements and next steps. Communication skills must be exemplary. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with analytics and data consumption (Dashboards, KPIs, exception logic), and ability to collaborate with data and ML teams.
- Strong communication skills to bridge business and technical discussions.
- Experience with enterprise workflow platforms (e.g., Webcon or similar) and understanding of routing logic and playbook driven actions (preferred).
- Ability to manage ambiguity and to lead a team towards consensus.
- Ability to work on a high-performance diverse team.
- Product Management Certification (POPM) is preferred via the Scaled Agile Framework.
- An interest in technology (e.g. cloud-based applications) and continuously upskilling.
- Comprehensive business requirements and functional specification documents.
- MRO process maps (current state and optimized future state).
- Detailed alert logic definitions, severity rules, and routing criteria.
- User stories, acceptance criteria, and UX input for dashboard and workflow features.
- Stakeholder alignment materials, including workshops, walkthroughs, and prioritization sessions.
- UAT plan, test cases, and results documentation.
- Operational readiness and training materials for end users.
- Optional:
Post launch support for adoption, process alignment, and enhancement planning. - Ability to learn new concepts quickly with outstanding analytical skills, structured thinking, ability to connect the dots across similar problem statements and exceptional attention to detail.
