- Work closely with the ISSM to maintain the operational security posture for all information systems under his/her purview.
- Assess and monitor system compliance, perform audits, develop security plans, and deliver security education and awareness programs.
- Investigate information system security violations, preparing reports specifying corrective and preventive actions.
- Review and approve (within authority) configuration management requests.
- Conduct technical and administrative assessments and integrate new cybersecurity processes, procedures, and tools.
- Support creation, review and update of cybersecurity documentation and other technical writing.
- Ensure all users have required security clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and security responsibility awareness before access.
- Collect, review, document, and archive security-related logs, reports and files per the System Security Plan (SSP). Report anomalies to the ISSM.
- Assist in incident response activities (investigation, collection, reporting, containment, eradication) as per policy and plans.
- Advanced degree and 6 months of combined experience in Systems Administration, Systems Engineering, Security/Cybersecurity, Info-Tech/Networking, or Management supporting classified programs or a government-regulated environment;
OR Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience;
OR Associate’s degree (or 2-year technical training) and 4+ years of relevant industry experience;
OR High School diploma or Military/Technical Training and 6+ years of relevant industry experience. - Current IAM Level I certification (Security+ or equivalent) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Active U.S. Government Secret clearance (or higher).
- Preferred:
Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance. - Certifications:
A+, Network+, Security+, SSCP, CCNA, etc. - Experience with DoD classified Special Operating Programs and/or laboratory environments, compliance-based auditing using RMF, DCSA, DAAG, JSIG, NISPOM, NIST, CNSSI, DoD, FAA, PCI, ISO 9001, HIPAA.
- Experience with information system security and monitoring tools (Splunk, Symantec, Ivanti, Tenable, ACAS, HBSS, etc.).
- Experience interpreting, implementing, and assessing security hardening guides and tools (DISA STIGs/SCAP).
- Familiarity with cyber incident response execution and management (preservation, containment, eradication).
Salary: $68,900 – $131,100. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and other benefits.
