Position Overview
New Product Introduction (NPI) Supply Chain team role responsible for collaborating with suppliers and P&W’s product development teams (IPTs) to deliver affordable, high‑quality parts that meet customer needs. The candidate should be customer focused, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate ability to deliver results. Must be U.S. citizen and able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
Responsibilities- Creating the sourcing strategy and coordinating source selection.
- Creating RFQ/RFPs and Purchase Orders.
- Evaluating and coordinating approval of supplier exceptions to Terms & Conditions.
- Coordinating invoice approvals and payment issue resolution.
- Identifying supplier strengths & weaknesses to support the strategic sourcing plan.
- Proactively tracking and managing supplier work in process (WIP), identifying risks to planned delivery, and maintaining promise dates.
- Maintaining the purchase order as technical definitions change and identifying risks to quoted price and lead time.
- Using the minimum requirements standard work as a competitive advantage.
- Using relevant tools to drive part shortage resolution, coordinating part shipping and tracking.
- Evaluating risks in the transition from development to low‑rate production.
- Evaluating supplier performance and collaborating with Strategic Sourcing Managers and Account Managers as needed.
- Interpreting Technology and Manufacturing Readiness Levels (TRL & MRL) and evaluating supplier capabilities relative to MRL.
- Coordinating supplier actions relative to MRL progression.
- Coordinating resolution of quality issues, QNs, and RCCA for supplier quality escapes.
- Identifying and managing supplier risks to the program industrial plan.
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, industrial management, or related field; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and associated flow‑down.
- Strong analytical and writing skills to support order justification and audit.
- Experience with SAP Purchase Order A1 Self Release.
Salary range: $107,500 USD – $204,500 USD. Additional incentive compensation and annual programs may apply.
