Pratt & Whitney, a leading aerospace and defense company headquartered in the United States, is seeking a Vendor Management Lead to support the Eagle Supply Component Repair Operations in Oklahoma City and East Hartford, CT.
What You Will Do- Support and train members of the Delivery Assurance Team by holding weekly vendor meetings to ensure on-time delivery and resolve issues.
- Create and implement robust standard work and processes.
- Review and analyze hardware shortage statuses and facilitate cross‑functional actions to improve on‑time delivery.
- Provide timely communication to customer account managers regarding critical parts commitment streams and key shortage recovery plans.
- Coordinate with spare parts distribution centers to expedite logistics for critical orders.
- Collaborate with customer account managers to understand and communicate customer requirements to the Global Supply Chain, monitoring material movements and acting as the customer advocate for on‑time delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Management or Business Management with 8+ years of comparable experience OR advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
- Experience with SAP (sales and distribution) and strong MS Office (Excel) skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Advanced degree and/or recent military background with an active government Secret clearance preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in data mining, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, well organized, and able to manage a fast‑paced, high‑volume workload.
- Demonstrated experience working in a cross‑functional team environment.
