Position Summary & Key Areas of Ownership

Responsible for setting up, calibrating, and starting machinery for production runs, then controlling and adjusting machine settings to maintain product specifications.

Core Responsibilities
  • Monitoring machine output for defects and consistency, inspecting products using proper equipment and making adjustments to optimize performance.
  • Performing routine cleanings, basic maintenance and minor repairs to ensure optimal equipment function and minimize downtime.
  • Loading raw materials into machines when required.
  • Recording production data, maintaining activity logs and reporting issues to supervisors.
  • Adhering to all safety guidelines, operating machinery safely and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Knowledge of line cleaning and testing.
  • Required to complete product changeovers quickly and efficiently.
  • Effectively communicate with production, QA, maintenance, and management staff.
  • Willingness to cross train and provide support with other production work centers.
  • Back up to the Line Lead.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude – a strong understanding of how production machinery and mechanical systems work.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and interpret instructions.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • The ability to perform demanding physical duties, including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
  • Aptitude to identify and troubleshoot issues with machinery.
  • Proficiency in basic math skills for measurements, calculations and maintaining specifications.
  • Expected to learn GMP's, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safety Procedures and Quality at the Source testing and documentation for your assigned work area.
  • High school diploma or (GED), on the job training is offered.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
