Salary: $27 - $37 per hour

Schedule:
1st shift (7:00am – 3:30pm) or 2nd shift (3:00pm – 11:30pm) available - Collaborative Work Environment:
Join a ~300-person team in a modern, climate-controlled, award-winning sustainable factory
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs covering CNC machining disciplines; lead students through an in-depth course that combines classroom instruction with practical, hands‑on training.
- Conduct both classroom and hands‑on training sessions ensuring trainees gain a thorough understanding of CNC machining principles and practices.
- Assess trainee performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans.
- Stay current with advancements in CNC technology and integrate updates into the training curriculum.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the manufacturing floor, providing guidance to apprentices and less-experienced machinists.
- Author engineering change notices that enhance production and align with CNC best practices.
- Author work instructions, work aids, and training aids that improve operator effectiveness.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines (primarily lathes / Turning) according to operational work instructions and specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment.
- Monitor machining processes, make adjustments, and ensure adherence to quality standards; document inefficiencies and issue change notices to engineering or programming.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or an associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a training or leadership role, with a preference for candidates who have conducted hands‑on training.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in CNC machining, with proficiency in Turning, Swiss Turning, Mill‑turn, and milling processes.
- Experience or strong background in CNC programming, setup, and operation.
- Proven ability to convey complex technical information clearly to apprentices and less‑experienced operators — excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong background in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Physical: frequently lift/carry 10–30 lbs, stand, walk, and manually manipulate.
