Position:
Industrial Security Officer – F135 Security Mission (Hybrid, U.S. based).
Location:
Hartford, CT (US-CT-EAST).
Salary range: $132,400 – $251,600 USD.
- Participate in the F135 Security mission, ensuring compliance with international program security requirements.
- Provide guidance and coordination for all requirements outlined in the U.S. Government approved Technology Control Plan.
- Work closely with F-35 Partner and FMS locations to develop and sustain compliant security programs with international security teams.
- Apply security and program‑specific knowledge to effectively counsel and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Oversee a team conducting security inspections with multiple U.S. Government organizations and foreign governments, fostering continuous improvement in the security program.
- Travel up to 25% of the time, including both domestic and international travel.
- Advanced degree and 7+ years of Industrial Security, Government (DoD), Regulatory Compliance, and/or Military experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant industry or military experience.
- Familiarity with NIST National Institute of Standards and Technology and experience in developing and implementing security standard operating procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Advanced degree.
- Active U.S. DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher.
- Personnel management experience.
- Experience/familiarity with Department of Defense Manuals and Instructions.
- Understanding of government contracts, security programs, and regulations.
- Knowledge of U.S. import/export control regulations including EAR and ITAR.
- Experience working with jet engine production or depot operations.
- Understanding of continuous improvement principles and tools (CORE/ACE/Six Sigma/Lean).
