Position Summary

Storeroom Crib Attendant – working at a customer's location to receive, stock, issue, and cycle‑count inventory for both customer and Vallen. The role maintains a clean, organized warehouse environment and supports site employees with timely equipment and supplies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Unload, receive, and put away incoming product, goods, tools and/or equipment; unpack bales, crates, and other containers; verify goods against invoices.
  • Accurately sort, label, move, and store items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, style, or product code.
  • Issue product, goods, tools and/or equipment to site employees and maintain accurate records of issued and returned items.
  • Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up‑to‑date stock records and respond to inquiries regarding inventory levels or delivery schedules.
  • Document discrepancies on an error log and seek management advice for corrective action.
  • Request requisitions to replenish inventory and perform cycle counts to prepare inventory reports.
  • Inspect and measure tools/equipment for defects, wear and tear, and report damage to supervisors.
  • Prepare periodic inventory or maintain perpetual inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Deliver tools or equipment to associate work locations and investigate lost or misplaced items.
  • Repair, service, or lubricate tools and equipment as required.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.
Job Qualifications

2nd Shift – Hours 3 pm – 11:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 months of relevant experience and/or training.

  • Experience in loading, unloading, picking, packing or moving goods in a warehouse; forklift or cherry picker experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic computer knowledge; proficiency in MS‑Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21 preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
  • Team player who is self‑motivated and goal‑oriented.
  • Attention to detail and safety‑mindful.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Work may not be temperature controlled; ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions.
  • Ability to work in dusty conditions.
  • Required to handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment (shoes, gloves, eyewear).
  • May be required to pass forklift and/or other warehouse equipment certifications.
  • Shifts may vary and/or rotate.
  • Overtime may be required; extended day, evening, and weekend work may be demanded with little to no advance notice.
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 25 lb. plus assistance; regular standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing.
  • Visual acuity and the ability to adjust focus sharply are required.
