This position focuses on performing both minor and major repairs, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents and staff. The technician will coordinate with the Maintenance Director regarding building and equipment conditions.

• Understand proper handling of biohazardous waste.
• Maintain a clean laundry room and store chemicals according to product or supervisor instructions.
• Follow standards and practices for handling specific chemicals.
• Demonstrate excellent mechanical skills.
• Work effectively within the work-order system.
• Perform general maintenance tasks (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.).

• Familiar with emergency procedures related to chemical misuse.
• Show interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed.
• Use chemicals and equipment properly.
