Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a large and growing manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This position will be responsible for high-volume invoice processing, vendor account management, and ensuring the accurate and timely payment of invoices. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a large ERP system, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Manage vendor relationships and respond to payment inquiries in a detail oriented manner.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and operations teams to resolve invoice issues.
• Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency.
