Basic FunctionsThe Safe Ride Dispatcher monitors the operation of the safe ride service by overseeing the Down Towner application and answering all calls from students regarding safe ride requests. The Safe Ride Dispatcher serves as the first point of contact between the student body and the Safe Ride program and must demonstrate excellent customer service while maintaining excellent operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Maintains understanding of Safe Ride policies and procedures
- Monitor the Down Towner active dashboard of nightly Safe Ride operations
- Write financial reports for any service disruptions caused by third-party vendors
- Monitor the Safe Ride email for any related inquiries or issues for the service
- Records and enters necessary information into the Safe Ride system
- Maintains communication with Safe Ride Drivers and Directors, providing assistance when necessary
- Maintains friendly communication with 3rd party vendors as appropriate
- Create a nightly report using the provided software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to exhibit behavior and conduct reflecting the mission of ASMSU
- Must be an enrolled student at Michigan State University
- Ability to deliver exemplary customer service
- Other training requirements as deemed necessary
