ANR IT Service Desk is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and technical support. We are currently seeking a Student Office Assistant to join our dynamic team and provide front facing customer support for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, AgBio Research, and MSU Extension.
Position Summary:As a Student Office Assistant at ANR IT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive excellent support and assistance. Reporting to the ANR Service Desk Manager, the Student Office Assistant will primarily perform the following primary duties:
- Greeting Customers:
Friendly and professional demeanor will set the tone for positive interactions. - Answering Main Service Desk Phone Line:
Be one of the first points of contact for customers seeking assistance. Respond to inquiries, provide information, and direct calls to the appropriate team members as needed. - Entering New Service Requests (Help Tickets):
Accurately record customer service requests and issues into our ticketing system. Gather essential information to initiate the support process efficiently. - Updating Current Service Requests:
Maintain and update existing service requests with relevant details, ensuring that the status and progress of each request is accurately documented. - Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members, including technicians, to coordinate and prioritize customer support activities, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow. - Other Duties as Assigned:
Be adaptable and ready to assist with various tasks or projects as needed to support the overall success of the department.
Motivated self-starter and able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to recognize and prioritize urgent concerns
Windows experience (predominantly 10 and 11); some Mac use possible
MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) experience
Enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year)
