Inst/Ast Professor - Fixed Term
The Department of Management at Michigan State University seeks to add a fixed term (teaching-oriented) faculty member specializing in strategic management beginning in July 2026. Responsibilities will emphasize teaching undergraduate strategic management. Opportunities also may arise to teach topics in other areas of management or graduate courses. Service supporting the activities of the Management Department and Broad College of Business is also expected.
The appointment is for the academic year and subject to annual renewal. Additional summer teaching opportunities are also possible with additional compensation.
Doctorate

Candidates should hold a degree in a relevant area of scholarship and be able to teach a diverse student population, including international students. The Instructor rank requires a master's degree. The Assistant Professor rank requires a doctoral degree. Candidates should be able to demonstrate exceptional ability or potential as a classroom instructor through peer or student evaluations, commentary in letters of recommendation, and/or experience in strategic management.
To be considered, applicants must provide a cover letter describing their primary teaching interests and accomplishments, a curriculum vitae, a recent sample of teaching evaluations, and three references. For full consideration, candidates should apply by October 15, 2025.
