Inst/Ast Prof - Fixed Term

The Department of Art, Art History, and Design at Michigan State University is currently establishing a pool of fixed-term assistant professors and instructors. These positions will be filled per course/per semester, on an as-needed basis. Applicants in this pool are reviewed when the program has an immediate need to fill a vacancy as needed within two years to begin as early as January 2025.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in art history in both the Art History program and in MSU's Integrated Studies in Arts and Humanities program.

Doctorate required. ABD or Ph.D. in art history or a related discipline for Assistant Professor rank. Masters degree for Instructor rank. Experience teaching at the college level.
