Inst/Ast Prof Fixed Term in Studio Art
The Department of Art, Art History, and Design at Michigan State University is currently establishing a pool of fixed term assistant professors in studio art. These positions will be filled per course/per semester on an as-needed basis. Applicants in this pool are reviewed when the program has an immediate need to fill a vacancy within a two-year period. Positions could begin as early as August 16, 2026.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in Studio Art. Courses include Drawing I;
Color and Design;
Three-Dimensional Form;
Advanced and Special Topics in Drawing; and/or selected courses in Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Ceramics, Electronic Art + Intermedia, and Photography.

Terminal
-Studio Art
Degree in studio art, or equivalent experience and education.
- MFA in Studio Art or equivalent.
- Experience teaching at the college level.
