Applications Engineer | East Lansing, MI
Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with multiple companies in East Lansing seeking experienced Applications Engineers. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand application requirements and propose solutions.
- Design, develop, and test software applications for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications and systems.
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability for future manufacturing needs.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users on new applications and system functionalities.
- Research and evaluate new technologies to improve manufacturing application capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or field support, preferably within manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD).
- Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems (PLCs, HMIs).
- Knowledge of data acquisition and analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing technical support or sales role.
