The College of Music is looking for friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic students to join our Music Ambassador team. Music Ambassadors represent the College by leading tours for prospective students and assisting the admissions team during audition days and other recruitment activities throughout the year.

Position Type:
Part Time

Pay Scale: $15/hr

About the role:

This position includes audition day set up and tear down, restocking refreshments, and directing guests to audition and practice spaces. Additionally, Music Ambassadors will lead College of Music tours for prospective students and families during the school year.

Weekly hours may fluctuate depending on seasonal demand. Additional shift opportunities are available on College of Music audition days, dates of which are posted on the College of Music website. Hours may vary between 4 hours per week to 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and break down event spaces (tables, chairs, linens, decor, etc.)
  • Restock refreshments as needed
  • Direct guests to audition and practice spaces
  • Answer audition questions from prospective students and families
  • Give College of Music tours to prospective students and families during the school year
Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Familiar with the College of Music and its facilities
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Prior hospitality, tour guide, or event experience is a plus (but not required)
