Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Financial Compliance, Risk Manager/Analyst
First National Bankof America is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Review Analyst.This role supports the bank's compliance management system by conducting reviews, assessments, and monitoring activities to ensure adherence to applicable federal and state banking laws and regulations. This role reports to the Compliance Monitoring and Testing Manager and business line partners to identify compliance gaps, document findings, and support corrective action.
Responsibilities- Conduct periodic compliance reviews and testing of bank operations, products, and processes against applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., BSA/AML, TILA, RESPA, ECOA, CRA, FDCPA, Reg E, Reg Z, HMDA, etc.)
- Review policies, procedures, and internal controls to assess alignment with current regulatory standards
- Assist in the preparation of compliance monitoring reports and present findings to management
- Assist in reviewing new products, services, and marketing materials for regulatory compliance
- Document review findings, observations, and recommended corrective actions in a clear and organized manner
- Coordinate with business lines to monitor the status of open compliance issues and action plans
- Support training initiatives by helping identify compliance awareness needs
- 2–4 years of experience in banking compliance, regulatory review, audit, or a related financial services role
- Working knowledge of core consumer and/or commercial banking regulations, with familiarity with federal banking regulators (OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, CFPB) and their supervisory expectations preferred
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulatory guidance and legal text
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with GRC or compliance management software preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of integrity and professional judgment
- CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) designation or progress toward certification preferred
- Familiarity with fair lending analysis or CRA compliance preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred
